What is Cloud Computing or service in the “Cloud” ?

Why do we need cloud computing?

Companies with the traditional approach, where activities and business program installed locally on the user computers, have access to these facilities only if they have a computer next to you or if you are within the company. Records, documents, and content of the program are almost impossible to exchange outside the local network, and upgrade software is expensive and complicated.

Due to the work of one or more users in different locations, there is a need for a software solution that enables collaborative work of the records and documents in real time.

What does cloud computing do?

Cloud computing offers a solution to these and many other business issues. It is ideal for companies that have a need for advanced services on existing infrastructure without investing in new infrastructure and personnel.

What does it mean to be in the “cloud”?

Cloud computing is a revolutionary concept that offers a new way to access personal data and applications, which are no longer located on your computer already in the “cloud” – which means that the program records and documentation can be accessed from multiple devices, anytime and from different locations. All you need is an Internet connection.

As a result, users of services in the “cloud” can be better, faster and easier to use and modify data.

What are the benefits of using services in the cloud !

Centralization – The data is centralized and stored in one place where they are constantly available, which allows the user mobility.

Continuous availability – Do service and services are accessed from different locations when there is an internet connection (and it is now available almost everywhere).

Model of rental services – for services in the “cloud” does not need to invest in costly infrastructure, train and recruit personnel for maintenance services. Cloud services are used only when you need them, and on administration, support and development of business application taking care of water service providers (such as Webit). The service included the upgrade, all security mechanisms, archiving, co-location data, support users, etc.

Controlled user access – User administration is easy to restrict access to users (such as internally at the premises of the company, look at the piece of data), as well as opportunities to change, delete or export data.

5 The benefits of ‘cloud’ applications over their desktop brothers!

Flexibility –  The nature of the job demands more flexibility and mobility, and less binding to the desk, chair, and desktop. We want to be able to do the same thing on a mobile device, go to your computer, then take the tablet in your hand and continue. We want to crush physical walls, cope with cables and other limitations, and work under our conditions – mobility is a growing priority.

And do not mention how this is consistent with the “on demand” content trend – if we can access entertaining content, such as movies, series, music or books, from virtually any device, why other rules should apply to business documents and programs?

Lower costs – Using cloud applications, aside from the productivity of team members and thus has an impact on revenue, it also represents the lower costs that stand out for desktop software. This is especially important for smaller and mid-sized companies, which can thus save on licenses. In the case of software in the cloud, there is usually no need to pay for licenses, but software is paid for usage (for example, by the number of people). Also, it is not necessary to buy physical servers and other storage sites but care for all service providers.

Employees thus have all the resources they need, and the company does not have to allocate the smallest wealth to provide them with everything they need to work.

Greater control of documents – This advantage is directly linked to the first, mobility, but deserves to be extracted into a special version. If you ever went to a business trip or collaborated with teams located in other locations (or even in other time zones), you know how important the flow of information and documents is. If you are part of an office bullet, you are vulnerable, you do not have the resources you need and you must always ask for something to be sent or to send something back to the office. Because you do not have too much time to submit one of the same tables and other documents under the name “version_31334_MB_probably_final_address” , cloud applications allow easy access to everything you need and even collaborate on shared documents. Immediately breathing is easier. 🙂

Easy installation and upgrading – This is already mentioned in the introduction – it’s easier to set cloud applications, after which you have immediate access to all the necessary documents and other resources if your company is already “up”. It is quite convenient if you change your computer or if a new person comes to the team. Also, software upgrades are mostly automatic – employees do not have to run out of obsolete programs and their maintenance but can use that time for some other, more important tasks, which leads to increased productivity.

Competitiveness – What does your direct competition use ? Is it already high in the clouds or has it stuck in some past times? Whether you are making this a priority or you need to achieve it, going to the cloud certainly has a multitude of advantages and even allows smaller companies to compete with their “Goalies” – while large companies are burdensome and burdened with compulsory programs and processes, fewer companies can easy to adapt to new trends, to be even more flexible and responsive to the needs of its users.
